Privacy Policy & Data Practices

Last updated: 2026-05-26

1. Who We Are

Coding Dunia (codingdunia.com) is an independent publisher of tutorials and guides on React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, and modern front-end engineering. References to "we", "us", or "our" mean Coding Dunia. For privacy questions write to editorial@codingdunia.com.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Analytics data (Google Analytics 4)

We run Google Analytics 4 to understand which articles readers find useful. GA4 records:

  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • Referring website or search query that brought you to the site
  • Browser type, operating system, and approximate region (country and city)
  • Events such as clicks on outbound links and code-block copies

Google processes and stores this data on its servers. We do not enable advertising features or User-ID tracking. IP addresses are anonymized by default in GA4.

2.2 Voluntary submissions

If you contact us via the address on the contact page, the message contents and your reply email address reach our mailbox. We use that information only to reply.

3. Cookies

We use three cookie categories:

  • Strictly necessary: session cookies that keep navigation working.
  • Analytics: GA4 cookies (_ga, _ga_*) that measure traffic. These last 24 months by default; clear your browser cookies any time to reset them.
  • Advertising: cookies set by Google AdSense to serve and measure ads (see the Advertising section below). Visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland see a consent prompt before these are set.

We do not run retargeting pixels or social-media trackers beyond what is described above.

4. Affiliate Links

Some posts link to products on Amazon and other retailers via affiliate programs. When you buy through one of those links, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links never change our editorial recommendations — we link to what we'd use ourselves, paid or not.

5. Advertising

We use Google AdSense to display ads that help fund our free content. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info. Visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland are shown a consent message before any advertising or measurement cookies are set, in line with Google's EU User Consent Policy.

6. Sharing With Third Parties

We share data only with the processors we depend on to run the site:

  • Google Analytics — traffic measurement (data flows to Google LLC).
  • Google AdSensehow Google uses cookies in advertising.
  • Cloudflare — CDN, DNS, and bot mitigation (handles every request).
  • Google Cloud Storage — static asset hosting.

We never sell personal data and we do not run a "do not sell" exception list, because there is nothing to sell.

7. Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA, and Similar Laws)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Ask for data correction or deletion
  • Opt out of analytics (use a GA opt-out browser extension or block cookies)
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

Email editorial@codingdunia.com to exercise any of those rights. We respond within 30 days.

8. Data Retention

GA4 retains event data for 14 months. We keep email correspondence as long as the conversation is active and delete it within 12 months of the last reply unless we need a longer record for a specific reason.

9. Children

Coding Dunia is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we'll delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We update this page when our practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes go live before they take effect.
